Roger Dubuis celebrates Scottie Pippen and Raging Mechanics
Close on the heels of the opening of their LA Pop-Up Boutique last year, Roger Dubuis is again making waves on the west coast. Known for their affinity for unique experiences in unexpected locations, the brand held a raging dinner party in the historic Chateau Marmont Hotel in Hollywood on Thursday night.
Hosted by Scottie and Larsa Pippen in the famous Bungalow #1, the event was attended by a star studded guest list of their closest friends including Ludacris, Kourtney Kardashian, LA Reid, Corey Gamble, David Grutman, Omarion, Jaha Johnson, Donovan Carter, Ania Ania, Shiva Safai, Michael Costello and Crime By Design. The event served both as a tribute to Scottie Pippen and an invitation to discover Roger Dubuis’ newest timepieces. The intimate dinner included speeches by Haute Living’s Kamal Hotchandani, an awe-inspiring display and video highlighting Roger Dubuis’ continued partnership with Lamborghini and the new Excalibur Aventador S timepiece, followed by a memorable closing toast with Louis XIII.
Aside from the high caliber celebrity attendees, the pairing of the historic Hollywood hot spot with the innovative and convention breaking Maison made the night all the more memorable. The ultra-modern watch towers stood boldly against the hotel’s cozy Bungalow décor, epitomizing the Roger Dubuis ethos of disruption and challenging convention. Roger Dubuis continues to make news in the US landscape, and with friends like Haute Living and Scottie Pippen, expect to see a lot more from this inventive brand in 2018.
Roger Dubuis has been at the forefront of contemporary Haute Horlogerie since 1995. Its audacious creations, firmly anchored in the 21st century, embody substantial expertise expressed through the finest watchmaking mechanisms combined with powerful and daring designs. Boldness and extravagance are the brand’s signatures, and determination its driving force.
The Roger Dubuis Excalibur and Velvet collections are distributed worldwide through an exclusive sales network and boutiques. The quest for excellence, the long search for the right gesture, as well as the development of unique skills are all defining characteristics of the Geneva-based Swiss Maison.
